Drug Detection Dogs
Although most dogs have a flair for this type of work, they need to be trained intensively to develop their skills in detecting narcotics such as heroine, cocaine, amphetamines and cannabis.
Using their highly developed sense of smell they can sniff out substances being carried by people both on their or inside a handbag, holdall or vehicle etc.
Each drug detection dog and handler have been independantly trained and assessed to meet the standards of the National Association of Security Dog users (NASDU).
The dogs energy and skill enables them to carry out large scale searches in a fraction of the the time it would take a human. The dogs can be useful in nighclubs, schools, universities and transportation terminals.
Our handlers and drug detection dogs are trained to carry out searches amongst the general public without causing great disturbance or alarm. Both Pro-Active and Passive dogs are available.
Arms and Explosive Detection Dogs
After the events in London of July 7th 2005 the realisation of a credible terrorist threat was brought home to the wholecountry. The second city of Birmingham whilst being 120 miles from the capital was suddenly the focus of attention with regards to terrorism. Although our search teams can be deployed nationwide, Birmingham in the West Midlands is our base and of course there are many credible targets throughout the West Midlands area which could disrupt the infrastructure of the whole country.
Our specialist team of arms and explosive detection dogs and handlers can provide a service to major venues throughout the country giving you peace of mind with a thorough search of the venues prior to and after any event has taken place.
Using their highly developed sense of smell they can detect arms and explosives without
causing it to detonate.
Each arms and explosive detection dog and handler have been independantly trained and assessed to meet the standards of the National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU). Also being members of British Polices and Services Canine Association.

Dog Handlers – Patrol Dogs
Occasionally guards alone cannot deter crime and violence. We use highly trained security dogs, which are fully attack trained.
Dogs play a vital role in modern day security work.
A dog handler with a security dog can be very effective and efficient. They are capable of
covering an area that might otherwise require a number of separate foot patrols.
The security dog’s superior ability to indicate the presence of an intruder, coupled with their agility and speed in chase and apprehension, makes dogs a formidable deterrent which may prevent crime. You will note that in areas of:
• deterrents
• detection
• defence
a security dog is the only option that can do all three.
Our handlers arrive at your premises with a fully marked up dog unit vehicle, which in itself is a deterrent. Warning signs of guard dogs patrolling are also positioned around the perimeter and entrance of your premises.
All of our handlers are uniformed and comply with the Guard Dog Act 1975 and are fully experienced to work with trained security dogs, having completed the National Association of Security Dog Users course (NASDU). Also being members of the British Police and Services Canine Association.
